Blixt Raises €5M in Funding

Blixt, a Kista, Sweden-based provider of a software-defined power system for the electricity sector, raised €5M in funding.

The round was led by Union Square Ventures and Energy Revolution Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by President Charlotta Holmquist, Blixt provides BLIXT Zero, a multifunctional switchgear with applications in direct current (DC) power and DC microgrids, and the X-Verter®, a next generation voltage control technology which uses advanced cell-level control, to reduce energy losses during AC and DC power conversion and extends battery life. The X-Verter® is designed to be scalable and adaptable to meet various customer needs, from backing up data centers to powering EV charging stations and large-scale solar installations.

The company holds 53 patent applications and is since 2021 an official member of Infineon’s high-quality partner ecosystem program.
