Kitchensurfing Closes $15M Series B Funding

kitchensurfingKitchensurfing, a New York City-based community marketplace for chefs, closed a $15m Series B funding.

The round was led by Tiger Global Management with participation from Union Square Ventures and Spark Capital.

The company is using the funds to continue to expand into new geographies and grow its global community of chefs and diners.

Led by Chris Muscarella, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Kitchensurfing operates a marketplace to connect chefs and consumers for family meals, exotic cuisine, blow-out celebratory or in-home cooking class.
The platform also features tools to facilitate transactions and offers 24/7 customer support to both diners and chefs.
The company, which is currently hiring, has raised $18.7m in total funding to date.
