Backpack, a Dubai, UAE-based crypto startup, raised a $17m in Series A funding.
The round, which valued the company at $120m, was led by Placeholder VC, with participation from Hashed, Robot Ventures, Amber Group, Wintermute, and Selini.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its development efforts, as well as to expand into more markets.
Founded by Armani Ferrante and Tristan Yver, two FTX and Alameda Research alums, Backpack is creating a digital platform offering crypto trading services.
