Term Labs Raises $2.5M in Seed Funding

Term Labs, a San Diego, CA-based blockchain R&D company, raised $2.5M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Electric Capital with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, Robot Ventures, MEXC Ventures, and with angel investment from DeFi founders from Aura, Balancer, Hashlow and Llama.

Led by CEO Dion Chu, Term Labs is a blockchain research and development company dedicated to the development of transparent, and scalable fixed-rate lending on blockchains.

The company intends to use the funds to develop Term Finance (termfinance.io), a decentralized lending protocol that utilizes an auction model to support scalable fixed-rate/fixed-term lending. Term Finance aims to bring transparent, low-cost, and crypto-native solutions for borrowers and lenders at an institutional scale when it launches on Ethereum.
