Ventiva Raises $10M in Series C Funding

Ventiva, a Fremont, CA-based company which specializes in active cooling solutions for electronic devices, raised $10M in Series C funding.

The round, which brought the total amount to $40M, saw participation of investment funds along with existing investors.

The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate its expansion, develop its technology, and delivery of its service to customers.

Led by Carl Schlachte, Chairman, President and CEO, Ventiva specializes in active cooling solutions for electronic devices that are lightweight, silent and vibration-free. Its patented ICE® technology intersects physics, engineering and fluid dynamics to become a new commercial cooling architecture for electronics. Ventiva is working to launch its latest generation Ionic Cooling Engine (ICE®), initially tailored for the laptop market. Following this, the company will expand its ICE® technology to a diverse range of applications, including AR/VR, television, portable gaming modules, and various electronics.

Commenting on the news, Carl Schlachte said: “Despite a difficult fundraising environment for tech companies, this funding round demonstrates clear understanding among investors that the consumer electronics markets are eager for a silent, vibration-free, solid-state active thermal solution and Ventiva has that solution.
