Zip Security, a NYC-based cybersecurity software provider, raised $7.7M in funding.
The round was co-led by General Catalys and Human Capital with participation from BoxGroup.
Led by CEO Josh Zweig and CTO Gabbi Merz, Zip Security builds software that automates cloud-based identity management, device management, and endpoint threat detection. It works with customers across a range of industries like health, defense, software, and finance, and supports integration with security tools like Jamf, Intune, Azure AD, Okta, Google Workspace, and CrowdStrike.
The company intends to use the funds to scale up the development of its software product, to include more advanced capabilities like device trust, automated patch management, and identity threat detection.
