Entropica Labs Raises US$ 4.7M in Series A Funding

Entropica Labs

Entropica Labs, a Singapore-based quantum software company, raised US$ 4.7M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Liftt and existing investor Wavemaker Partners. Additional investors included SEEDS Capital, CerraCap Ventures, SUTD Venture Holdings, and previous seed investors, Elev8 VC.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the team, continue leveraging existing and future strategic partnerships with quantum hardware providers to enable testing of its products on real quantum hardware.

Founded in Singapore by Tommaso Demarie and Ewan Munro in 2018, Entropica is based on the thesis that commercial, practical applications of quantum computers require fault-tolerant quantum error correction, i.e., the ability to actively remove errors from quantum computations. To this end, the company is building software development tools that empower users to design fault-tolerant versions of quantum circuits and algorithms.
