Ostium Labs Raises $3.5M in Funding

Ostium Labs

Ostium Labs, a London, UK-based provider of a hybrid pooled liquidity model, raised $3.5M in funding.

Co-led by General Catalyst and LocalGlobe, the round saw participation from SIG, DeFi Alliance, Balaji Srinivasan (former Coinbase CTO), Vessel Capital, and others.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the launch of its flagship Protocol, an on-chain trading hub for Real World Assets (RWAs), enabling traders to gain price exposure to a variety of asset classes previously unavailable on-chain.

Led by Kaledora Kiernan-Linn, and Marco Antonio, Ostium Labs is the team behind the Ostium protocol, a decentralized perpetuals exchange purpose-engineered for Real World Assets. Its hybrid pooled liquidity model enables no-slippage trading at oracle price, utilizing a delayed maker-taker order matching system to mitigate liquidity provider directional risk exposure.

The protocol will be deployed on testnet in Q4.
