IYK, a remote Web3 startup that helps brands launch digital collectibles tied to real-life products, raised $16.8M in Seed funding.
The round was led by A16z Crypto with participation from 1kx, Collab Currency, Lattice Capital and Gmoney.
The company intends to use the funds to scale its user base.
IYK is the platform for brands, musicians, and creators to deploy fully-customizable, digi-physical experiences at scale. Through combining blockchain and NFC technology, the company creates immersive experiences that bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds.
The company has a proven track record of collaborations with industry leaders such as Adidas, BB3 Labs (Billionaire Boys Club), and 9dcc.
The team members are currently based in New York City, Toronto, Portland, London.
