Duckbill Raises $33M in Seed and Series A Funding

Duckbill, a Boston, MA-based maker of an execution engine that gives people a personal assistant combined with AI’s efficiency, raised $33m in seed and Series A funding.

The round was led by Forerunner Ventures, with participation from Greycroft Partners, Inspired Capital, General Catalyst, G9 Ventures, Red Antler, uture Back Ventures by Bain & Company and Offline Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, development efforts, and its business reach.

Led by Meghan Verena Joyce, CEO and Founder, Duckbill is combining generative AI and human experts to build an execution engine that anticipates, researches, and executes on tasks in terms of purchasing, planning, calling, and paperwork-ing. Members can submit tasks large and small however they prefer— be it via the app, text, email, voice memo, and chat. The result is a service that allows users to outsource the “life admin” so they can spend time doing what they love most. They have already completed thousands of tasks for their beta members and now introducing the service to the public.
