CAI Software, a Smithfield, RI-based company which specializes in integrated software and technology solutions, acquired Alterity, an Arlington TX-based technology company that focuses on supporting growing, small to midsized distributors, online retailers, and manufacturers via software solutions.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The addition of Alterity’s software Acctivate to the CAI portfolio adds inventory management software and capabilities to drive additional value for customers.

Led by Brian Rigney, CAI Software is a provider of integrated software and technology solutions for enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), eCommerce EDI (electronic data interchange) and warehouse management software (WMS).
Together, CAI Software and Acctivate will serve approximately 1,600+ customers across manufacturing, specialty food processing, building materials, wholesalers/distributors, metals and mining, and automotive industries.
