Backers included Earlybird, Serpentine.vc, Dupuis Investment, Michael Ulbrich, Ina Schlie, Urte Zahn, and IndieBio from SOSV VC.

The company intends to use the funds to strengthen its research and development activities to create a blueprint for its first smart-up urban microfactory demo plant, which will increase its capacity to process textile waste.

Co-founded in 2019 by Revital Nadiv and Viktoria Kanar, Re-Fresh Global has developed technology which transforms textile waste into new raw materials. The company has developed one solution and 3 products including:

  • Smart Textile Waste Upcycling Microfactory©: A complete ‘turn-key’ urban manufacturing solution.
  • Re-SanPulp: A customizable textile pulp made out of recycled natural and synthetic fibers.
  • Re-Thanol: A bio-ethanol (alcohol) with applications across a range of industries.
  • Re-Nano: A patented microfibrillated cellulose that reduces a textile company’s carbon footprint.
