SOS, a Boston, MA-based wellness on the go company working through a network of smart vending machines, raised $7.6M in funding.

The round saw participation form Wasserman Ventures (with $2.6M) and Urban Us Capital (with $5M). Thayer Lavielle, Executive Vice President of The Collective, Wasserman’s women-focused practice, joined SOS’ Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to support machine production and expansion, expanding into sports arenas, entertainment venues and college campuses.

Launched in 2020 and led by CEOs Robina Verbeek and Susanna Twarog, SOS provides SOS vending machines that deliver personal care, and wellness products and curated content from popular brands, in places people need them most. The company has grown its presence to include placement of more than 100 vending machines at high-traffic areas including New York City’s Rockefeller Center and top sporting venues such as Fenway Park, FLA Live Arena and TIAA Bank Field, in addition to a variety of public spaces around Boston, including the Prudential Center, South Station and more.
