Moonsense, a Menlo Park, CA-based fraud prevention solutions provider, raised $4.2M in Seed funding.

The round was co-led by XYZ Ventures and Race Capital with participation from TheGP, Foothill Ventures, and individual investors including Sekhar Sarukkai, John Lilly and Josh Wills.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by CEO Andrei Savu, Moonsense is a risk data acquisition and management company committed to harnessing AI/ML and user behavioral intelligence to provide businesses with the means to identify and combat the most advanced fraud schemes, such as account opening fraud using synthetic IDs and account takeover attacks (ATO). Its solution provides organizations with the tools to develop customized risk scoring models, enabling them to effectively combat fraud while minimizing costs. With a focus on flexibility and adaptability, Moonsense is dedicated to delivering fraud prevention solutions for a diverse range of security and risk-focused industries including financial services, fintech, online merchants, online gambling, among others.
