100Plus Raised Additional Seed Funding

100Plus, a San Francisco, CA-based personalized health prediction startup, has raised additional seed funding.

Backers include Greylock Discovery Fund partners John Lilly and Reid Hoffman, Felicis Ventures and Band of Angels Acorn Fund.

The company intends to use the capital, which comes in addition to initial funding by Founders Fund and Peter Thiel (read here), to grow data analytics, engineering and user experience teams and build out its initial product.

Led by Chris Hogg and co-founded by healthcare innovator Ryan Howard, Founder and CEO of Practice Fusion, 100Plus is developing an interactive health application that leverages large clinical datasets to show users their future health, and uses game mechanics to encourage incremental changes in behavior that can help extend healthy lifespans.
The company plans a beta launch to consumers in mid-2012.
