Ariadne, a Munich, Germany-based provider of a location data and crowd analytics platform for the real estate industry, raised USD7m in Series A funding.
The round was led by existing investor Marathon Venture Capital with participation from Lamda Development and angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, as well as its development efforts.
Co-founded by Georgios Pipelidis and Nikos Tsiamitros, Ariadne is building the modern Operating System for Commercial Real Estate. Its technology senses anonymous signals emitted by smartphones to track the flow of people in a broad area. It is plug-and-play and low cost, fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA and similar regulations by design, while it requires no app, network connection or cameras.
The company serves organizations across verticals such as retail, transportation, hospitality and government, helping them understand, analyze and optimize customer journeys and conversion rates, addressing some of their most critical challenges.
