Qdrant Raises $7.5M in Seed Funding

Qdrant, a Berlin, Germany-based provider of a vector database and search platform, raised $7.5m in seed funding.

The round was led by Unusual Ventures with participation from 42cap, IBB Ventures and angels including Amr Awadallah.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, as well as its development efforts.

Quadrant provides a a vector database & vector similarity search engine that powers the next generation of AI applications with advanced and vector similarity search technology. It deploys as an API service providing search for the nearest high-dimensional vectors. With Qdrant, embeddings or neural network encoders can be turned into full-fledged applications for matching, searching, recommending, and much more.
