ClinOne, a Needham, MA-based global clinical trial management suite provider, raised $3M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Boulder Ventures, with participation from existing investors CU Healthcare Innovation Fund and First Trust Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the growth of its platform and broaden its reach to serve customers.
Led by CEO Andrea Valente, ClinOne connects, informs, and empowers patients, caregivers, and sites in clinical trials with platform for trial, consent management, and patient engagement – underpinned with comprehensive data insights tools and interoperability. Used by more than 80 sponsors, CROs, and site networks in 60 countries, the platform reduces risk and simplifies complex processes for therapeutic areas and patient populations including Oncology, Rare Disease, Pediatrics, the Elderly, and CNS.
As part of this investment, Robert Conway will join the ClinOne Board as Executive Chair. Conway served as the Chief Executive Officer of Array BioPharma, Inc 1999 – 2012. He serves as the Chairman of ARCA, Biopharma and is on the board of directors of Signant Health and Alpine Immune Sciences. Conway is also a member of Genstar Capital’s Strategic Advisory Board. He previously served as Director of eResearch Technology (Clario), PRA International (acquired by ICON, plc), and Advarra Inc.
