Brassica Technologies Raises $8M in Seed Funding

Brassica Technologies, a Houston, TX-based financial infrastructure technology company, raised $8M in Seed funding.

The round, which brought the total amount to $12M, was led by Mercury Fund, with participation from Valor Equity Partners, Long Journey Ventures, NGC Fund, Neowiz, Broadhaven Ventures, Armyn Capital, VC3DAO, and Alpha Asset Management.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its product, engineering, business development, and customer success teams and accelerate new service offerings.

Founded in 2021 by Youngro Lee (CEO) and Bob Dunton (CTO), Brassica is a FinTech startup developing API-enabled custodial and transfer agent services for private investing and alternative assets. Its comprehensive back-end banking and investment infrastructure as a service provides multiple embedded financial tools and regulated services that enable enterprises build compliant and scalable businesses while safeguarding their customer assets.

In addition, the company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Brassica Trust Company has been granted a Trust Charter by the Wyoming State Banking Board. In addition, they expect to hire a full-service trust operations team in Wyoming.
