Filu Raises €2M in Funding

Filu, a Munich, Germany-based pet care startup, raised €2m in funding.

The round was led by Rivus Capital, with participation from Rivus, and Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to open soon in Munich’s city centre, before launching in further cities.

Founded by Anna Magdalena Naderer, Christian Köhler and Justus Buchen, Filu is a pet care startup working at the intersection of emergency clinic, preventive practice and digital care. By combining digital processes, video and in-person consultations, the company makes pet care more personalized and holistic for the growing group of tech-savvy millennials with pets.

In addition to Rivus and Auxxo, Filu is also supported by the “Bond Vet” founding team (Lukas Keindl, Mo Punjani, Zay Satchu) as well as European angels. Anna Alex (founder of Planetly and Outfittery), Eva-Maria Meijnen (Co-CEO at PlusDental), Michael Hurnaus (founder of Tractive), Matthias Koch (former Head of Corporate Development at Fressnapf), Friedhelm Filler (self-employed software entrepreneur), Manuel Böhringer and Marius Diehl complement the founding team with pet tech expertise and technological know-how.
