deskbird, a St. Gallen, Switzerland-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) workplace management company, raised $13M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Alstin Capital and AVP (AXA Venture Partners) with participation from existing investors, such as session.vc, Rivus Capital, and PortfoLion.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop its product and expand the market within Europe and other regions.

Founded by Ivan Cossu, CEO, and Jonas Hess, CPO, deskbird offers software for workplace management, providing a comprehensive solution for hybrid businesses. It enables anyone to see who is in the office and when, plan their week and book a desk in a few clicks. In addition to offering a people-centric workplace management suite, the company plans to introduce more AI-based features for users and administration. Decision-makers can use these new features to understand why employees come to the office, increase workplace satisfaction, and achieve savings through efficient space utilization. Customers like Schaeffler, Unicef, Vitra, Heineken, and Thyssenkrupp use deskbird to manage desk sharing, coordinate employees’ return to the office, optimize space requirements, and save costs on rent and energy. It has already been used by more than 5,000 offices worldwide.
