LØCI, a London, UK-based fashion brand, raised £4M in Seed funding.
The round was backed by actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio.
The company intends to use the funds to further expand its business reach.
Founded in April 2021 by Emmanuel Eribo, Philippe Homsy, Frank Eribo & Mark Quaradeghini, LØCI makes vegan luxury sneakers made from recycled, renewable & biodegradable materials. The brand manufactures and sources all of its products in Europe, paying a premium for certified eco-materials, with each pair made using certified recycled ocean plastic. It focuses on monthly, rather than seasonal, production cycles to reduce waste and their impact on the planet, while donating 10% of online profits to wildlife conservation charities.
