VeeFriends, the web3 company founded by Gary Vaynerchuk, closed a seed funding round.
The round, which reportedly amounted to $50M, was led by a16z crypto.
The company will use the funding to build the future intellectual property of the 283 VeeFriends characters. The investment will be used to accelerate expansion plans for its creative, technical and experiential operations and recruitment of talent from the entertainment and Web3 industries.
VeeFriends is an NFT project around meaningful intellectual property and a community leading a first of its kind Web3 conference, which is veecon. The company is building its IP across different multimedia platforms including physical and digital spaces.
The company, since its launch on May 11th of 2021, has amassed approximately more than 200,000 ETH in primary and secondary sales, has released more than 10 collaborations and has built one of the largest communities on Discord for an NFT project.
