The round was led by Paradigm with participation from ParaFi Capital, Pantera Capital, Delphi Ventures, Kingsway Capital, Gemini Frontier Fund, BH Digital, Graticule Asset Management Asia, Shima Capital, Morningstar Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Tiger Global, and Alameda Research.

The company plans to use its funding to:

  • Double the team across Africa by end of the year
  • Expand into 15+ additional cities by the end of the year with the goal of having over 200K active community members, students, and ambassadors affiliated with its educational efforts
  • Hire the engineers needed to the app that will enable Africans to trade crypto, buy and sell NFTs, experience play-to-earn crypto games, and access top-notch global web3 applications that we are bringing to Africa

Led by Alice and James Zhang, Jambo is building a Web3 super app that will educate, bank and entertain the African continent. The company aims to make an influential Web3 user acquisition portal across the continent and to serve as the bridge between Africa and applications from around the world seeking to tap into the continental market.
