Cushion Raises $12 Million in Series A Funding

Cushion

Cushion, a San Francisco, CA-based bank and credit card fee negotiation company, raised $12M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Rose Park Advisors, with participation from Flourish Ventures, Vestigo Ventures, TSEF, Green Cow Venture Capital and  CMFG Ventures Discovery Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to hire talent across product, engineering, data analytics, and marketing as it readies its bill pay solution for a general audience after months of beta testing.

Led by CEO Paul Kesserwani, Cushion is a provider of an app that helps consumers in the US negotiate their bank and credit card fees and is now expanding into bill pay to offer consumers a single place to track, pay, and finance their bills so they can avoid overdraft and late fees altogether. The new product offering is awaited by more than 100,000 current customers and has an additional six-figure waitlist.
