LaCollection Raises $10M in Seed Funding

LaCollection

LaCollection, a Paris, France-based NFT art platform, raised $10M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Alven, with participation from Aglaé Ventures, Cygni Capital, Kima Ventures, Artnova, Motier Ventures and Premier Janvier Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to further develop the platform, secure partnerships with more museums and artists, keep growing a global team across Europe, Asia and the US, and invest in a social and climate positive plan roadmap.

Led by CEO Jean-Sebastien Beaucamps, LaCollection is a community of collectors about art, culture and NFTs. It partners with museums, galleries and artists to issue authenticated limited digital editions of artworks (NFT) available for sale and for viewing on its proprietary platform.

To start a collection on LaCollection, users can sign up for an account and begin purchasing non-fungible token (NFT) of paintings by Hokusai, Turner and more, using a credit card.

Launched in September of 2021, LaCollection entered into an exclusive agreement with The British Museum and achieved a 7 digit revenue in 4 month with an NFT sale dedicated to the work of Japanese painter Katsushika Hokusai.

Last fall, the company raised $400,000 in pre-seed from founders of prominent blockchain unicorns Sorare and Ledger among others.
