Rose Technology, a NYC-based provider of a platform for companies to collect, analyze, and generate revenue from data, raises $5.5m in seed funding.
The round was led by Portage Ventures, with participation from BoxGroup and Sound Ventures, a venture capital firm founded by Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded by data scientist and former global macro investor Alexander Campbell, Rose Technology is a data workspace, analytics engine and marketplace platform that enables organizations to find, transform, share, buy and sell data, in one place It is built to provide information-obsessed organizations, researchers and analysts with the ability to find and organize disparate amounts of source data.
