MetisMotion, a Munich, Germany-based startup that specializes in actuators for automation applications, raised €1.5M in funding.
Backers included BORN2GROW, High-Tech Gründerfonds and Siemens Technology Accelerator.
The company intends to use the funds to prepare the market launch for its patent-protected naXture actuator platform in late summer.
Led by Patrick Fröse, Managing Director, MetisMotion has developed core technology that consists of highly dynamic and lightweight actuators for automation applications. Customers include national and international manufacturers from the fields of factory and process automation, robotics and mobility.
The Munich site is currently home to in-house development, production, marketing and sales. The company is a spin-off from the Siemens Group.
