KKR, a global investment firm, completed the acquisition of Natural Pet Food Group, a Christchurch, New Zealand-based premium pet food company.
The investment – made via KKR Asian Fund IV – will be used to support the company’s international growth.
Led by Neil Hinton, CEO, Natural Pet Food operates brands that provide pet owners with a variety of nutritious, 100% New Zealand made pet food produced from locally sourced wholefood ingredients. Its dog and cat food brands include K9 Natural, Feline Natural, and Meat Mates. Launched in 2006, the group today serves customers globally in markets including New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, US and Canada.
Michael Robson, Managing Director of KKR Capstone, is a joining member of Natural Pet Food Group’s Board of Directors.
