Amber Solutions, a Dublin, California-based company commercializing digital control of electricity in solid-state architecture, raised more than $8.5m in series B funding.
The backers were not disclosed.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand its development efforts.
Led by Founder and CEO Thar Casey, Amber has developed a programmable solid-state power system that controls the flow of electricity digitally, enabling unique integration of modern intelligence into building electrical products and infrastructure. The solution introduces an alternative to electro-mechanical components that are used in nearly all modern electrical infrastructure products.
