Tilt Five Raises $7.5M in Series A Funding

Tilt Five, a San Jose, CA-based entertainment system provider, secured $7.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by SIP Global Partners with participation from BITKRAFT Ventures, Galaxy Interactive, Logitech, and Ken Birdwell. In conjunction with the funding, SIP Global Partners’ Jeffrey Smith will join Tilt Five’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to hire additional employees, build partnerships, and expand available content.

Led by Jeri Ellsworth, CEO, Tilt Five uses proprietary augmented reality (AR) glasses, a game board, and a wand controller to engage players in tabletop and video games in 3D holographic environments

Games of all genres work with Tilt Five™, including simulation, RPG adventures, puzzle, esports, arcade, strategy games, classic tabletop, action video, and party games. Content from third-party developers will include games from Tabletopia, HappyGiant, Niffler, PlayStack, Beatshapers, Playito, Monocle Society, Deck13, GFX47, and Battle Map Studio.

Tilt Five has begun ramping up production and will commence shipping kits to Kickstarter backers and pre-order customers over the coming two quarters. Tilt Five™ XE kits include a pair of AR glasses, a game board and a wand. XE Kits are currently $359 and are available to pre-order at https://www.tiltfive.com/. Tilt Five will also provide Social Kits that will include 3 AR glasses, 3 wands and a gameboard, available later in 2021.
