Retirable, a NYC-based company simplifying the retirement process with a personalized, digital plan from Certified Financial Planners (CFPs), raised $4.7m in seed funding.
The round was led by Vestigo Ventures with participation from Diagram Ventures, Primetime Partners, and other angel investors.
The company intends to use the funding to hire more experts, expand the product and its offerings, and invest in future partnerships.
Founded in 2019 by Tyler End, Ian Yamey and Brian Ramirez, Retirable provides people with retirement advice from the company’s team of experts, who identify actionable opportunities to make significant improvements. The company has already served over 50,000 pre-retirees in beta. Retirable does not reward its employees based on the assets or net worth of its clients. Instead, the company’s proprietary technology combines guided planning tools with access to an expert via chat and text, in order to help all clients get answers to their pressing financial questions, regardless of their current financial situation. Currently, Retirable experts provide advice on over 10,000 questions a week, helping thousands of people determine the best way to maximize Social Security, retirement funds, and current or future benefits.
