Honey Mama’s, a Portland, Ore.-based food brand, completed a $4.5m Series A round of funding.
The round was led by Amberstone Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to elevate its resources and accelerate national growth.
Founded in 2012 by Christy Goldsby, Honey Mama’s offers refrigerated cocoa truffle bars made with five whole food, nutrient-rich ingredients (raw honey, dark cocoa powder, unrefined coconut oil, Himalayan pink salt, and either sprouted almonds, shredded coconut, or sesame seeds) . Flavors include Lavender Rose, Tahini Tangerine, and Spicy Dark.
The company’s products are naturally free from refined sugar, soy, eggs, dairy, gluten, and grains.
