Rubicon Project (NYSE:RUBI), a Los Angeles, California-based global exchange for advertising, acquired RTK.io, a New York City-based provider of tools and services for publishers to control header bidding, for $11m.

Rubicon Project announces the acquisition of RTK.io, furthering its commitment to open source and serving publishers with powerful tools and incredible client service.
Founded in 2007 and led by Michael Barrett, President and CEO, Rubicon Project is an advertising exchange for websites and apps to sell ads easily and safely. In addition, agencies and brands use its technology to execute billions of advertising transactions each month.
