Fitness Network Membership ClassPass Secures $85M in Series D

ClassPass, a NYC-based fitness network membership, secured $85m in Series D funding.

The round was led by Temasek with participation from L Catterton. In conjunction with the funding, Michael Farello of L Catterton joined ClassPass’ board.

The company will use the funds to launch in more than 20 new countries internationally and another 10 cities domestically by the end of 2019.

Founded in 2013 by Payal Kadakia and led by CEO Fritz Lanman, ClassPass provides a fitness network membership that connects members to a variety of fitness experiences, including yoga, cycling, Pilates, barre, running, strength training, dance, sports, videos and more.
It has over 10,000 partners in 50 cities worldwide.
