Vertex Ventures Closes Third Early Stage Venture Capital Fund, at $210M

Vertex Ventures, the venture capital arm of Temasek, the Government of Singapore-backed investment company, closed its third fund at $210m.

Limited partners in South-East Asia & India-focused Fund-III included Asian financial institutions, corporates and family offices.

Vertex Ventures is focused on making investments in tech startups across enterprise technology, financial technology and consumer internet in Southeast Asia and India.
The fund plans to make approx. new and follow-on 20 investments of $2-$5m.

The firm is led by
– CEO Chua Kee Lock,
– Managing Partners Chua Joo Hock and Ben Mathias,
– Partners Carmen Yuen, Genping Liu, and
– Executive directors Piyush Kharbanda and Julian Low.

The current and past portfolio includes Validus, Voltafield, The Asian Parent, Spacemob, Yatra, Turnkey Lender, Patsnap, Instarem, Flutura, Housejoy, Ace Turtle, Firstcry, Cloudcherry, HappyFresh, etc.
