LaunchDarkly Secures $54M in Funding

LaunchDarkly

LaunchDarkly, an Oakland, CA-based provider of a feature management platform software teams use to build software faster, raised $54m in additional funding.

The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners from their Century Fund, with participation from Threshold Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Uncork Capital, Vertex Ventures and Bloomberg Beta.

The company, which has raised a total of $130m in funding to date, intends to use the capital to continue to invest in expanding its team and further develop its feature management platform.

Founded in 2014 by Edith Harbaugh and John Kodumal, LaunchDarkly provides a feature management platform that software teams use to build software, faster with less risk. Development teams use feature management as a best practice to separate code deployments from feature releases. Teams can control their entire feature lifecycles from concept to launch to value. Serving over 1 trillion feature flags a day, the platform is used by teams at IBM, TrueCar, fuboTV, Atlassian, Microsoft, and CircleCI. In 2020 the company will open sales offices in Sydney, Australia, and an engineering hub in London, UK.
