Miva, a San Diego, CA-based provider of e-commerce shopping cart software, received a minority investment from Bison Capital Partners.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company will use the funds to expand operations and reach more merchants worldwide.
Founded in 1997 and led by Rick Wilson, CEO, Miva provides cloud based e-commerce, hosting, and custom website design and development solutions which leverage content and complex data into site UI, transaction and inventory management, and systems integration.
To date, the company has powered more than $100 billion in online sales for retailers worldwide.
