VeloCloud Closes $35M Series D Funding

VeloCloudVeloCloud Networks, Inc., a Mountain View, Calif.-based Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN™ company, closed a $35m Series D round of funding.

The round was led by Hermes Growth Partners with participation from new investors Telstra Ventures and Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the strategic investment fund of the Government of Malaysia, and existing investors New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Venrock, March Capital Partners, Cisco Investments, and other undisclosed strategic investors.

The company, which has raised $84m in total funding, intends to use the capital to expand business, capacity and operations as it accelerates new product development, supports larger customer rollouts, and increases sales and marketing in theaters worldwide.

Led by CEO and Co-founder Sanjay Uppal, VeloCloud provides a cloud-delivered SD-WAN that enables enterprises to manage application, network, and branch and end-point implementations while optimize access to cloud services, private datacenters and enterprise applications. The company’s SD-WAN includes: a choice of public, private or hybrid cloud network for enterprise-grade connection to cloud and enterprise applications; branch office enterprise appliances and optional data center appliances; software-defined control and automation; and virtual services delivery.
