Stride Health Secures $23.5M in Series B Funding

Stride Health, a San Francisco, CA-based benefits provider for independent workers, raised $23.5m in Series B financing.

The round was led by F-Prime Capital Partners, with participation from existing investors Venrock and New Enterprise Associates (NEA) as well as new investors including Portag3 Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Ben Malka, partner at F-Prime Capital, joined Venrock’s Bryan Roberts on Stride Health’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its benefits offerings.

Launched in 2014 by Noah Lang, CEO, Stride Health provides a platform for independent workers (from real estate agents to artisans, plumbers and truck drivers) to get access to affordable health, vision and dental benefits, as well as receive tax deduction support.
The company also partners with marketplaces and on-demand services including Care.com, DoorDash, Etsy, Instacart, Postmates, TaskRabbit and Uber, to support their independent workforces with access to benefits.
