Aryballe Technologies Closes $3.5M Series A Funding

Neose-pro-Main-HighAryballe Technologies, a Grenoble, France-based developer of a universal olfactory sensor, closed a $3.5M Series A funding round.

Backers included Innovacom and Japanese chemical company Asahi Kasei.

The company intends to use the funds to grow operations, improve the capabilities of the product, industrialize the second version of NeOse™ and secure its internationalization, accelerate the commercialization of NeOse™ Pro, the professional version of the product addressing olfactive pollution and environmental markets, and quality control of processes in flavor and fragrance, food manufacturing and cosmetic.

Led by Tristan Rousselle, CEO and co-founder, Aryballe Technologies develops innovative technologies, databases, software and devices applied to the identification, measurement and representation of smells and tastes. Aryballe NeOse is a universal odor sensor that mimics the human olfactory receptors. The mobile device attracts odors, signs and stores them in the company’s database, constantly growing and enabling odor comparison.

Aryballe is also supplying a sensor to monitor smart devices in home appliances as well as measuring indoor and outdoor air quality for environmental purpose.
