Zhou previously worked at B2B technology investors OpenView Venture Partners and ClearSky Power & Technology Fund, always focusing on helping companies post-investment.
Led by Matt Fates, general partner, Ascent focuses on early stage B2B IT companies with an initial investment ranging from $2m to $5m. Investment areas include data and analytics, cloud innovation, cybersecurity, mobile first and IoT. The Ascent investment team manages six venture funds with total commitments of more than $500m.
The firm recently invested in Pwnie Express, Codeship and Promoboxx, highlighting the company’s continued momentum and growth in the venture capital space.
