Buzzmove, a London, UK-based insurtech startup, closed a £6m seed funding round.
The round was led by White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. (NYSE: WTM).
The company intends to use the funds for the continuing development of its platform.
Launched in 2014 and led by CEO Rebecca Downing, Buzzmove provides an online price comparison and booking platform for the moving industry that enables consumers to inventory their belongings digitally and to purchase home and household contents insurance.
The company also provides SaaS-based professional surveying software to moving companies.
The investment followed Buzzmove’s recent participation in Startupbootcamp InsurTech.
