Onfido, a London, UK-based identity verification solution for financial services, raised an additional funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included Salesforce Ventures, Talis Capital, as well as angel investors Charlie Songhurst, founder of Katana Capital and former Head of Corporate Strategy at Microsoft; and Hank Vigil, a general partner at Acequia Capital and former Senior Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships at Microsoft.
The company, which had raised a $25m Series B funding in April 2016, will use this capital to further advance its solutions.
Founded in 2012 by Husayn Kassai, CEO, Onfido delivers machine-learning technology powered identity verification software that enables businesses across sectors to verify that a person is who they say they are before running further searches such as Criminal or Anti-Money-Laundering Checks.
The company, which has received over $30m in funding to date, currently works with over 1,000 clients globally, including BlaBlaCar, Deliveroo and JustGiving.
It also has offices in San Francisco, CA, US.
