Revolut, a London, UK-based provider of a currency transfer app, raised £6.75m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Balderton Capital with paticipation from Ribbit Capital, Point Nine Capital, Index Ventures, Seedcamp and Venrex.
The company intends to use the funds for product development and international expansion.
Led by Nikolay Storonsky, CEO, Revolut provides users with an app to exchange currencies at interbank rates, send money through contacts and spend with a multi-currency Master Card.
Launched in July 2015, the app has over 200k users.
