Adams Street Partners Adds Brijesh Jeevarathnam as Partner

Private markets investment firm Adams Street Partners has added Brijesh Jeevarathnam as a Partner and Co-Head of Global Venture Fund Investments, and member of its Primary Investment Team.

Mr. Jeevarathnam will join Kelly Meldrum, Adams Street’s Head of Primary Investments, in the firm’s Menlo Park office, from Commonfund Capital, a global fund of funds focused on venture capital, private equity, and natural resource investments, where he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Global Venture Capital and Global Emerging Markets.

Before joining Commonfund, Mr. Jeevarathnam spent four years at McKinsey & Company, where he led consultant teams performing due diligence, turnarounds of portfolio companies, and the development of investment and organizational strategy for private equity firms. He began his career as a member of GE Capital’s Mergers & Acquisitions team where he led acquisition-related due diligence and deal structuring.

Led by Jeff Diehl, Managing Partner, Adams Street also hired Bill Sacher and Shahab Rashid, formerly of Oaktree Capital Management, and Saguna Malhotra, formerly of the Stanford Management Company.
