1mg Raises $16M in Series B Funding

1mg1mg, a Gurgaon, India-based consumer health platform, raised $16m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Maverick Capital Ventures, with participation from Sequoia India and Omidyar Network.

The company will use the funds to continue to expand operations.

Led by Prashant Tandon, Gaurav Agarwal and Vikas Chauhan, 1mg provides a doctor web and mobile app (with over 5 million downloads) which enables consumers to learn more about their medicines and also find more substitutes. The company recently launched a diagnostics service that aims to bring transparency and price-effectiveness to lab tests.
