Canadian private equity firm XPND Capital received a $10m participation from Investissement Quebec.
XPNDCROISSANCEFund, which has now raised $37m, aims to reach $70m by the end of 2015.
The fund follows the firm’s first fund – XPND1 – launched in 2012 and is dedicated to investing in growing Quebec-based businesses operating in high potential industries such as sustainable transportation, innovative industries, technologies, media and entertainment.
