Aquantia Secures $37M in Series H Venture Capital Funding

aquantiaAquantia, a San Jose, CA-based provider of high-speed Ethernet copper connectivity solutions in data center and enterprise, secured $37m in Series H venture capital funding.

Backers included Credit Suisse’s Direct Equity Partners, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Walden Riverwood, and Cisco Investments.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations.

Led by Faraj Aalaei, president and CEO, Aquantia is a developer, and global supplier of high-speed connectivity solutions for data centers, enterprise and WLAN applications. Its AQrate is capable of increasing network speeds to 5 Gbps at lengths up to 100m on existing Cat 5e/Cat 6 cables. The products were first sampled in late 2013 and are currently in mass production.

The company has raised a total of $199m and currently employs over 160 people.
