Zirx Receives Strategic Investment from BMW i Ventures

Zirx, a San Francisco, CA-based on-demand parking and car services company built for drivers, received a strategic investment from BMW Group’s venture capital entity, BMW i Ventures.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

Led by Sean Behr, Co-Founder and CEO, ZIRX provides a mobile app that allows drivers to indicate current location and, within minutes, have an agent arrive and valet park any car in garage in major urban markets like New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C. While parked, drivers can opt for the company’s ZIRX Care services that include car washes, gas fill-ups, electric vehicle charging, oil changes, tire rotation and factory maintenance. The ZIRX Enterprise, launched last year, allows companies such as Automatic Labs, Insomniac, Juno Therapeutics and Live Nation to offer on-demand valet parking and services to employees.

Founded in 2014, the company is funded by Bessemer Venture Partners, Norwest Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its Enterprise team and release its Enterprise Portal, a web-based dashboard for companies to manage employees’ accounts and billing.
